The Artist behind the Studio
Mallory Serebrin a studio artist and founder and director of
Studio Artworks – The Jerusalem Ceramic Art Center.
She has been working in ceramics since 1991 and is a graduate of Pratt Institute, NY, with a degree in Fine Arts & Painting and has studied at Alfred University, New York School of Ceramics.
Her passion and expertise is in 3-dimensional design, painting, form and function, and are best expressed in clay.
She opened the Center in 2001 due to popular demand!
Mallory’s own work includes Judaica, tableware and dedication plaques and paintings, and is for sale in the gallery and by special order. Her work is for sale in top Judaica Galleries in America including the Jewish Museum in New York.
Her imprint can be seen in her own unique creations as well as in the students she inspires. She has been teaching ceramics and art to children and adults in Jerusalem for over 10 years.
Emma Buggy - community artist and teacher
Works mainly as a props artist making sculptures for festivals, films and the media in England, Australia and now Israel.
Emma studied at Wimbledon collage of Art and University of the Arts, London and works as a community artist and sculptor whose work is show here and abroad.
Emma is often involved in the creating and curating of art projects which have recently been focusing on the use of recycled materials and community arts.
She has also works with groups of teenagers and children (in London England), including refugees, troubled teenagers on summer detention camps and children from under privileged schools and backgrounds. Emma has worked with children with the goal to introduce art to youths as a form of expression and a possible avenue for further education.
She is pursuing a career in Art Therapy and concentrating on teaching and community arts with children and young adults in Jerusalem where she now lives and works.
