Kids Clay & Crafts Summer 2011 Sessions
A fun and creative summer in weekly sessions running through July and August. Choose morning or afternoon sessions or the whole day.
Sessions are 9 am -12 (early drop off 8:30 am) or 12:30-3:30 pm Sunday through Thursday.
Each session focuses on and will be connected to a different theme.
Snacks (popcorn or fruit smoothies!) will be provided. Lunch is provided by the camper.
Ages 7-12
Cost:
1 week-half day 580 nis (Aug 7 session: 465 nis)
1 week-full day 1080 nis (Aug 7 sessions: 900 nis)
Early drop off add 75 nis per week.
Discounts on multiple sessions or 2 family members who register together.
Classes are taught by Mallory Serebrin or Emma Buggy.
Classes where there are more than 5 students, there will be an assistant.
A snack is provided. Campers must bring their own lunch and bottle of water.
Clay work can be picked up 1 week after the end of class.
Payment in full is required upon registration and can be made through PayPal or by check.
Refunds: up to 3 weeks before - full refund, 2 week before 50%, afterwhich no refunds are given.

Adult Workshops - 2011-2012
For those with some experience, 1-day workshops are offered to expand your knowledge and experience with clay and techniques. Take one, a few or all, your choice! *Some workshops require advance preparation. Bisque-ware will be provided to those not currently working in the studio for small fee.
Tuesday mornings 9-12 noon
1. October 4, 2011 (beginners welcome)
Extruded Forms - learn to use the extruder to create hollow forms and more.
2. November 8, 2011 (beginners welcome)
Newsprint Transfers - using a monoprint technique we will make newprint transfers creating a bold and unique surface design. Advance preparation required.
3. December 6, 2011 (beginners welcome)
Creative Cylinders - new forms from the cylinder. Taking the basic thrown cylinder shape, we will cut, push and reconfigure it to make new and interesting forms. A wheel thrown cylinder form will be provided for each participant.
4. January 3, 2012 - TBA
5. February 7, 2012 (beginners welcome)
Hang It! - Paper Clay on the Wall. This versitle clay is lighter and stronger and thus lends itself to more possibilites. Each participant will design and create a wall unique wall peice.
6. March 6, 2012 - TBA
5 Little Things - a sculptural approach. Using writing, found objects and personal items, we will consider these as points of ideparture to create 5 sculptural objects using different techniques. Please bring a notebook and pen and 5 small objects that you like.
